Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset seeks an outstanding Head of Imaging Services to provide strategic and operational leadership across Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging. You will drive transformation, performance and patient-centered care while managing a large, multi-site workforce.

The role requires HCPC registration, postgraduate leadership qualifications and a track record of change management and digital transformation within NHS imaging services.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered Diagnostic Radiographer with ongoing professional development.
• Postgraduate (masters) qualification or equivalent.
• Evidence of formal management development and change management training.
• Experience leading imaging or diagnostic services at senior level.

Responsibilities

• Strategic leadership and service planning across Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging.
• Deliver national and local performance standards and waiting time targets.
• Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, retention and staff development.
• Manage budgets, financial planning and procurement.
• Drive quality improvement, governance and patient safety.
