Job summary

One Hatfield Hospital, part of Phoenix Hospital Group, is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Imaging Manager to provide strategic, operational and clinical leadership across Imaging Services. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, the successful candidate will drive clinical excellence, operational efficiency and service development across the department.

This role requires HCPC registration, a diagnostic radiography degree, and at least 5 years in senior radiography leadership.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography and HCPC registration.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior radiography leadership or management role.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary imaging teams across multiple modalities.
• Strong knowledge of IR(ME)R, IRR17, CQC requirements and clinical governance.
• Experience workforce planning, recruitment, performance management and developing clinical teams.
• Experience managing budgets, resources and departmental performance.
• A strong understanding of patient safety, quality improvement, risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across a range of stakeholders.
• A commitment to delivering an exceptional patient experience and maintaining high standards of clinical care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical audits, quality improvement, risk management, incidents and complaints, ensuring learning is embedded into practice.
• Monitor departmental performance, capacity and service delivery, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and patient experience.
• Manage departmental budgets, resources and expenditure, supporting business cases and service development opportunities.
• Oversee imaging equipment, technology and radiation protection requirements.
• Build strong relationships with consultants, clinicians, referrers, hospital leaders and external partners.
• Support the development of new services, innovative imaging pathways and opportunities for continued service growth.

One Hatfield Hospital, part of Phoenix Hospital Group, are looking for an experienced and dynamic Diagnostic Imaging Manager to provide strategic, operational and clinical leadership across our Imaging Services.

Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services and the Head of Diagnostic Development, the successful candidate will play a key role in driving clinical excellence, operational efficiency, quality improvement and service development by working closely with consultants, clinicians, senior managers and external stakeholders.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced radiography leader to take responsibility for the delivery and development of safe, high-quality, patient-centred imaging services, while supporting the continued growth and success of the department.

About you:

We are looking for an experienced and confident radiography leader who can demonstrate:

• A Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography and current HCPC registration.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior radiography leadership or management role.
• Significant experience managing multidisciplinary imaging teams across multiple modalities.
• Strong knowledge of IR(ME)R, IRR17, CQC requirements and clinical governance.
• Experience of workforce planning, recruitment, performance management and developing clinical teams.
• Experience managing budgets, resources and departmental performance.
• A strong understanding of patient safety, quality improvement, risk management and regulatory compliance.

Experience within the independent/private healthcare sector, alongside experience in service development, business cases, equipment procurement or service expansion, would be advantageous.
