Job summary

ONI in Oxford is seeking a Data Scientist to develop software for automating super-resolution microscopy and image analysis, enabling non-expert scientists to gain rapid insights across research, drug development, and diagnostics.

You will design and implement high-performance C++ applications, devise ML-based image analysis solutions, and collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure robust integration and delivery of enterprise-scale software solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in CS/Engineering/Bioinformatics or related field.
• Experience in image processing and ML pipelines.
• Strong programming in Python and C++.
• Knowledge of embedded software/hardware integration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build software solutions for automating nano-scale microscopy analysis.
• Develop high-performance C++ applications for image processing/analysis.
• Design, implement, test, and optimize ML-based image analysis pipelines.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software teams.
• Write clear, well-documented, testable code and maintainability.
