Job summary

ONI is seeking a Software Engineer in Oxford to develop software for automating super-resolution microscopy and image analysis. You will build high-performance C++ applications and contribute to enterprise-scale solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to address nanoscale challenges.

The role requires 5+ years in C++ development, proficiency with modern C++, and experience in Agile environments. A hands-on mindset and ability to deliver robust, well-tested code are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience developing high-performance software applications in C++.
• Proficient in modern C++ (C++14/17/20) and low-level programming.
• Solid understanding of multi-threaded programming, memory management, and performance optimization.
• Experience working in Agile/SCRUM software development.

Responsibilities

• Build software solutions for the automation of super-resolution microscopy and image analysis.
• Lead delivery of high-quality enterprise-scale software solutions.
