Job summary

Welbeck Cambridge is a private day-case centre seeking an experienced healthcare support worker to assist patients through diagnostic imaging journeys. You will help prepare patients, support radiographers and maintain compassionate, patient-centred care in a busy private setting.

Ideal candidates hold NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent, with previous clinical experience and strong IT skills to manage records.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
• Experience in a clinical healthcare environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Support patients throughout imaging appointments and procedures.
• Prepare patients for examinations and act as a chaperone when required.
• Assist radiographers and clinicians during consultations and procedures.
• Maintain dignity, privacy and respect for patients at all times.
• Maintain accurate patient records using RIS/PACS and CompuCare.
• Support stock management, equipment checks and departmental organisation.
• Recognise and escalate patient concerns or changes in condition appropriately.
• Contribute to a safe clinical environment through infection control and governance requirements.
