Job summary

National Highways seeks a Lead Identity Manager to direct Identity and Access Management, governance and Privileged Access Management across operations and business environments. You will oversee Joiners, Movers, Leavers processes and authentication services, ensuring access is properly controlled and auditable.

The role requires security policy enforcement, operational leadership, and ongoing improvement of identity-related controls, with hybrid work and UK-wide office locations plus travel.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in leading security or technology functions and services.
• Proven track record in developing and deploying security or technology services.
• Experience in building and leading teams in a tech environment.
• Experience creating policies, strategies and processes.
• Experience managing teams providing first and second-line support with tools like ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

• Provide develop and maintain Identity Systems and SOPs; lead resources to prevent, detect, respond to and mitigate security threats.
• Align team objectives with business strategies and governance to strengthen security posture and compliance.
• Lead the delivery of operational Identity Services delivering value to users and stakeholders.
• Maintain and develop Identity SOPs and knowledge articles aligned with policy and processes.
• Provide regular reporting of Identity threats, risks and controls to stakeholders.
• Lead delivery and transition of systems into Identity Assurance Governance and Privileged Access Management monitoring.
• Lead and ensure compliance with security standards and UK Government recommendations.
• Shape strategic direction of Identity Management to reduce risk and improve business outcomes.
