Job summary

St Albans City & District Council is seeking an experienced ICT Technical & Infrastructure Manager to lead the delivery, development and security of the Council's ICT infrastructure and technical services. The role requires strong technical knowledge, strategic vision and the ability to manage cross‑functional teams.

  • A degree-level qualification, preferably in IT, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Significant experience managing ICT infrastructure, technical operations, and service delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, servers, networking, storage, and ICT architecture.
  • Good knowledge of cyber security, data protection, compliance, and operational resilience.
  • Experience leading teams, managing suppliers, budgets and technology projects.
  • A customer-focused, collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking ICT Technical & Infrastructure Manager to lead the delivery, development and security of the Council's ICT infrastructure and technical support services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the development, security, and resilience of ICT infrastructure, systems, telephony, and technical services.
