Job summary

St Albans District Council is seeking an experienced ICT Technical & Infrastructure Manager to lead delivery, development and security of the Council's ICT infrastructure and technical support services. You will oversee infrastructure, service desk, supplier management and budgets to deliver value for money.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a customer-focused approach to delivering secure, modern and reliable services. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

  • Degree-level qualification in IT or equivalent professional experience.
  • Significant experience managing ICT infrastructure, technical operations and service delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, servers, networking, storage and ICT architecture.
  • Good knowledge of cyber security, data protection, compliance and operational resilience.
  • Experience leading teams, managing suppliers, budgets and technology projects.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking ICT Technical & Infrastructure Manager to lead the delivery, development and security of the Council's ICT infrastructure and technical support services.

Key responsibilities include:
