Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd. is seeking a confident ICT Teacher to deliver engaging ICT lessons across KS3 and KS4 in Derby-area secondary schools. The role starts on a day-to-day basis with potential for longer-term opportunities, supporting students to reach their full potential.

Successful candidates will hold QTS with ICT or Computing specialism and demonstrate excellent classroom management and a flexible approach to teaching. On-site, contract-based role with competitive PAYE pay rates.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent in ICT/Computing.
• Experience teaching ICT/Computing in UK secondary schools.
• Experience teaching KS3 and KS4.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ICT lessons across KS3 and KS4 following lesson plans.
• Maintain strong classroom management and student engagement.
• Be flexible to long-term placements within local schools.

Job description

TeacherActive is proud to be working with secondary schools across Derby who are looking for a confident and knowledgeable ICT Teacher. The schools offer supportive learning environments with a focus on engaging students and helping them achieve their full potential.

The ICT Teacher will initially work on a day-to-day basis, with opportunities for long-term positions within local secondary schools. The successful ICT Teacher will deliver ICT lessons across KS3 and KS4, following lesson plans while maintaining strong classroom management and encouraging students to engage with the subject.

The successful ICT Teacher will have:

• QTS with an ICT or Computing specialism (ECTs are also welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching ICT or Computing within a UK secondary school
• Experience teaching students across KS3 and KS4
• Excellent classroom management skills
• A flexible and adaptable approach
