Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a confident ICT Teacher for Derby-based secondary schools. The role involves delivering ICT lessons to KS3 and KS4, following prepared lesson plans and maintaining effective classroom management to foster student engagement and progress.

The successful candidate will hold a QTS with ICT or Computing, have UK secondary school teaching experience, and demonstrate a flexible, adaptive approach to different topics and school environments.

Qualifications

• QTS with ICT or Computing specialism (ECTs welcome).
• Experience teaching ICT/Computing in a UK secondary school.
• Experience teaching KS3 and KS4.
• Strong ICT subject knowledge.
• Flexible and adaptable approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ICT lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Follow lesson plans and maintain strong classroom management.
• Engage students to achieve their potential and progress in ICT.

Job description

TeacherActive is proud to be working with secondary schools across Derby who are looking for a confident and knowledgeable ICT Teacher. The schools offer supportive learning environments with a focus on engaging students and helping them achieve their full potential.

The ICT Teacher will initially work on a day-to-day basis, with opportunities for long-term positions within local secondary schools. The successful ICT Teacher will deliver ICT lessons across KS3 and KS4, following lesson plans while maintaining strong classroom management and encouraging students to engage with the subject.

The successful ICT Teacher will have:

• QTS with an ICT or Computing specialism (ECTs are also welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching ICT or Computing within a UK secondary school
• Experience teaching students across KS3 and KS4
• Strong ICT subject knowledge
• A flexible and adaptable approach
