Job summary

South Wales Police invites applications for an ICT Technical Security Support Engineer based at the Police Headquarters in Bridgend, Wales. This hands-on role develops cyber security experience within a dynamic ICT Security Team, protecting infrastructure through monitoring and response.

You will work with experienced colleagues to respond to inquiries, support security services, and maintain accurate records, contributing to day-to-day operations and project work across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Essential: GCSEs with Maths and English or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Receive and respond to security inquiries, escalate as needed.
• Carry out technical, investigative and administrative activities for ICT Security Team.
• Help set up, operate, maintain and test ICT security services and systems.
• Interpret security data and tests, present information clearly and on time.
• Maintain clear electronic records and improve processes.
• Identify risks and support controls in line with legislation and standards.
• Plan and organise own work and coordinate with ICT colleagues.
