Job summary

1 Tech Staffing Ltd is currently seeking an ICT Technician to join a busy MSP serving Oxford and Abingdon area. The role focuses on providing on-site 1st/2nd line IT support for staff and students, maintaining hardware and software, and helping maximise the use of ICT in the learning environment.

You will troubleshoot across desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, AV equipment, and mainly work with Microsoft Office 365 and Windows environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in ICT Technician or 1st/2nd line support.
• Experience in education MSP or school environment.
• Strong knowledge of Office 365 and Windows.
• Excellent communication and organisation.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main onsite contact for IT, providing responsive 1st/2nd line support to staff and students
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, projectors, AV equipment and more
• Install, configure and upgrade hardware and software across the school network
• Support and maintain core systems, with a strong focus on Microsoft Office 365 and commonly used education applications
• Work proactively with stakeholders to identify improvements in ICT provision
• Communicate technical solutions clearly and effectively to non-technical users

We are looking for a skilled ICT Technician to join a busy MSP around the Oxford and Abingdon area.

This role would suit someone with experience supporting IT either within a school environment or an MSP, who enjoys taking ownership of technical issues and delivering reliable solutions.

You'll be responsible for keeping systems running smoothly while also help the school to get the most out of its ICT. From supporting staff and students to maintaining hardware and applications, your work will directly contribute to creating an effective learning environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Act as the main onsite contact for IT, providing responsive 1st/2nd line support to staff and students

• Good understanding of common user applications and networked systems
• Confident troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently under pressure
• Excellent communication and organisation skills, with a customer-first approach
