The ideal candidate has experience in ICT technician or 1st/2nd line roles within an education MSP or school setting, with strong knowledge of Office 365 and Windows.

Qualifications

• Experience as ICT Technician or 1st/2nd line engineer in an education MSP or school setting.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Windows operating systems.
• Good understanding of common user applications and networked systems.
• Confident troubleshooting and ability to work independently under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main onsite IT contact, providing 1st/2nd line support to staff and students.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, projectors, AV equipment and more.
• Install, configure and upgrade hardware and software across the school network.
• Support and maintain core systems, focusing on Office 365 and education applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify improvements in ICT provision.
• Explain technical solutions clearly to non-technical users.

We are looking for a skilled ICT Technician to join a busy MSP around the Oxford and Abingdon area.

This role would suit someone with experience supporting IT either within a school environment or an MSP, who enjoys taking ownership of technical issues and delivering reliable solutions.

You’ll be responsible for keeping systems running smoothly while also help the school to get the most out of its ICT. From supporting staff and students to maintaining hardware and applications, your work will directly contribute to creating an effective learning environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Act as the main onsite contact for IT, providing responsive 1st/2nd line support to staff and students
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, projectors, AV equipment and more
• Install, configure and upgrade hardware and software across the school network
• Support and maintain core systems, with a strong focus on Microsoft Office 365 and commonly used education applications
• Work proactively with stakeholders to identify improvements in ICT provision
• Communicate technical solutions clearly and effectively to non-technical users

Key Requirements:

• Experience in a similar ICT Technician, 1st/2nd Line Engineer role - ideally within an education MSP or directly in a school environment
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Windows operating systems
• Good understanding of common user applications and networked systems
• Confident troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently under pressure
• Excellent communication and organisation skills, with a customer-first approach
