Job summary

Police Scotland is seeking a Business Management officer to support the ICT Team in daily business management for a large IT department. You will assist the Assistant Business Manager and Skills Demand Manager with recruitment, resourcing, attendance, payroll, budgets, invoicing, performance reporting and training to align with ICT strategies.

Responsibilities

• Liaise directly with internal staff and external stakeholders to ensure an effective business management support service to the ICT function.
• Provide advice to IT management and staff on all support functions, ensuring guidelines and procedures are followed.
• Support the recruitment of IT staff, including drafting recruitment requests, business cases, job descriptions and adverts, and maintain recruitment records.
• Arrange and monitor the ICT onboarding process for new staff, contractors and consultants, create user accounts, arrange desk space, build access and inductions.
• Arrange and monitor purchase orders and invoicing for IT professionals and agency temps, in line with procurement procedures for cost effectiveness.
