Job summary

Thames Water is seeking an Instrument, Control & Automation Technician to install, commission, maintain and repair water production assets, including level instrumentation and flow meters. You will work with SCADA systems, PLCs, and process networks, and supervise contractors when needed.

The role requires reading diagrams, fault-finding, and strong health & safety awareness. A full UK driving licence and ability to work with minimum supervision are essential.

Qualifications

• HNC or NVQ3 in instrumentation, control and automation required.
• 18th Edition (BS7671) qualification preferred.
• Strong understanding of instrumentation, control systems.
• Experience with relay logic and PLC programming essential.
• Ability to read circuit diagrams and fault-find.
• Health and safety awareness essential.
• Excellent communication with internal/contractors.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain, and repair water production assets.
