Job summary

Thames Water is seeking an Instrumentation, Control & Automation (ICA) or Control and Instrumentation (C&I) technician for the Rye Meads STW area and surrounding sites. The role covers installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of water production assets with emphasis on PLCs and SCADA systems.

You will liaise with contractors, provide technical guidance, and support apprentices. A full UK driving licence is required, and the role offers a competitive salary and pension benefits.

Qualifications

• Qualified to HNC level in instrumentation or NVQ3 in instrumentation.
• Experience with relay logic and PLCs including programming.
• Understanding of SCADA systems and process control networks.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain and repair water production assets.
• Work with SCADA, PLCs and process control networks.
• Liaise with contractors and provide technical guidance and training.
