Job summary

A technician role based at Beckton STW seeks an Instrumentation, Control & Automation (ICA) or Control and Instrumentation (C&I) specialist to install, commission, service and optimise water production assets at Beckton. You will work with SCADA systems, PLCs and process control networks, with supervision of contractors as needed.

Expect 38 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, with standby and overtime opportunities and extra earnings linked to completing essential company training.

Qualifications

• Experience with relay logic and PLCs (Rockwell and Allen-Bradley) including programming.
• Experience installing, commissioning, maintaining and repairing water production assets.
• Familiarity with SCADA and process control networks; ability to supervise contractors and provide technical guidance.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain and repair water production assets (level instrumentation, flow meters, turbidity monitors).
• Work with SCADA, PLCs and process control networks to optimise operations.
• Liaise with contractors and suppliers, provide technical advice and training support.
