Job summary

Xpertise is seeking experienced IBM i RPG/DB2 developers to join a major programme in a complex, business-critical production environment. You will develop, maintain and enhance RPG applications and work with DB2 databases, resolving issues in live production systems.

The role requires developers who can quickly understand an established IBM i environment and deliver reliable code with minimal supervision, within a fast-paced contract setting.

Qualifications

• Proven commercial IBM i/AS400/iSeries development experience
• Expert RPG and DB2 development skills
• Strong understanding of AS400 terminology, architecture and environments
• Experience working across large or complex production estates
• Ability to analyse existing applications, troubleshoot issues and deliver reliable code changes
• Financial services, payments or regulated-industry experience
• Comfortable working within a fast-paced contract environment and delivering against agreed timescales
