Qualifikationen

• Strong programming ability in any language.
• Experience testing data, programs and processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to adapt to new technologies.
• Third-level education and a current driving licence.
• RPG programming experience is highly advantageous.
• Software troubleshooting experience is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with warehousing, retail or EPOS software is desirable.
• Experience with ERP and finance systems is desirable.
• Understanding of network architectures and protocols is desirable.
• Windows Server experience is desirable.

Aufgaben

• Maintain and enhance existing bespoke business applications on the IBM i platform.
• Support the retail, hospitality, wholesale and ERP/finance systems that underpin the business.
• Test data, programs and processes to ensure changes work as intended.
• Perform database maintenance and system monitoring.
• Provide technical support to users, both remotely and on site.
• Contribute to digital forensics activities when required.
• Work with internal teams, external software suppliers (EPOS/ERP), and network support.
• Coordinate annual leave cover within IT department.
