Job summary

Bupa is seeking an experienced Lead Cyber Security Engineer to design, implement and operate IAM across our global footprint, including UK, India and BGUK. You will lead a team of engineers delivering identity security controls, automation and secure access governance.

The role requires hands-on expertise with IGA, PAM and EIM technologies, cloud integrations, scripting and strong communication across IT, Security and business teams to balance security with user experience.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in cybersecurity or identity roles
• 5+ years in IAM engineering leadership
• Experience designing and operating IGA/PAM/EIM technologies
• Experience in regulated environments and large-scale enterprises
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA or IAM-specific qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, configuration, integration and support of IGA, PAM and EIM tools.
• Build custom workflows, connectors and automation for access provisioning.
• Integrate IAM with core apps, AD, Entra ID and cloud platforms.
• Troubleshoot IAM, access, authentication and identity issues.
• Implement least-privilege and zero-trust governance.
• Support audits and IAM evidence reporting.
• Monitor platforms and manage IAM-related incidents and remediation.
• Identify opportunities for automation using PowerShell and Python.
• Collaborate with IT, Security, HR and business teams to balance controls with user experience.
• Lead and develop a high-performing IAM engineering team.
