Job summary

A recruitment agency specializing in food manufacturing is seeking an experienced Hygiene Manager in Lancashire to lead daily hygiene standards across a modern facility. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in hygiene leadership, strong knowledge of compliance standards, and exceptional team leadership skills. Key responsibilities include managing hygiene compliance and training staff, working with other departments to maintain high food safety standards, and driving a culture of continuous improvement. This is a full-time role with a salary of up to £51,000 per annum.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a Hygiene leadership role within food manufacturing.
  • Strong working knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP, COSHH, chemicals, and cleaning validation.
  • Confident in leading teams, coaching performance and improving standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage hygiene teams on site (day-to-day coordination and standards delivery).
  • Ensure full compliance with BRCGS, retailer, legislative and internal hygiene requirements.
  • Own and continuously improve hygiene systems, cleaning schedules, and validation/verification.
