Teespro Recruitment Limited is seeking an R&D Mechanical Engineer in Newcastle to work on hydrogen power technology and zero‑emission energy systems. You will design mechanical components for high‑pressure hydrogen units and contribute to cutting‑edge engineering in a collaborative environment.

You will develop designs from concept to detail, lead design reviews, and coordinate with electrical and other teams to ensure seamless integration.

Formación

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering at 1st class level.
• Experience with high‑pressure pipework and small bore tubes, hydrogen preferred.
• Knowledge of ASME B31.3, BS EN 13480, PED standards.
• Ability to read and produce P&ID diagrams and manufacturing drawings.
• Proficiency in 3D modelling; Inventor experience is a bonus.

Responsabilidades

• Develop mechanical designs from concept to detailed design for hydrogen power units.
• Design high‑pressure pipework systems and select components.
• Perform calculations for pipe sizing, wall thickness and regulator sizing.
• Lead procurement of prototype systems and oversee build/testing.
• Coordinate with electrical/instrumentation teams for integration.
• Lead design reviews to ensure safety and performance.
• Oversee on‑site build and installation of systems.
• Create technical documentation and assist troubleshooting.
