Job summary

Hykit, based in the United Kingdom, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to advance hydrogen infrastructure products for construction, transport and agricultural sectors. The role is onsite in Bicester and offers hands-on design work from concept through production release.

You’ll own design packages, deliver detailed 3D models and drawings, apply DFM/DFA, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring rugged, manufacturable solutions to deployment in clean energy applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong CAD experience with SolidWorks or CATIA.
• Experience producing detailed drawings, assemblies and BOMs.
• Understanding of fabrication and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with engineering change control and document management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality mechanical design work across Hykit's product range.
• Produce detailed designs, drawings and documentation for concepts through to production release.
• Own assigned design packages and support lifecycle from concept to deployment.
• Apply DFM and DFA principles to improve manufacturability and quality.
• Support design reviews, risk assessments and FMEA activities.
• Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing and cross-functional teams.
