Genesis Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in Oxford to lead high‑quality mechanical design work for mobile and modular hydrogen infrastructure products. The role owns design packages and generates audit‑ready documentation for CE/AG equipment, ensuring safe, rugged solutions.

You will collaborate across EC&I, testing, manufacturing and supply chain, contribute to design reviews, and drive design change control while maintaining detailed records and

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer with 6+ years in mechanical design/product development.
• Proficient in NX/SolidWorks/CATIA with ability to produce detailed drawings and BOMs.
• Experience with ATEX, PED and PSSR compliance for high‑pressure hydrogen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed mechanical designs, 3D models and drawings using CAD to audit-ready standard.
• Develop and maintain BOMs, part specifications and technical documentation.
• Deliver full development lifecycle from concept to production release under senior direction.
• Apply DFM and DFA to ensure producibility and cost‑effectiveness in CE/AG environments.
• Lead design reviews and document change control across projects.
• Collaborate with EC&I, testing, manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure integrated delivery.
