Job summary

Teespro Recruitment Limited is helping a fast-growing clean technology company in Sheffield locate a Senior R&D Electrical Engineer. You will lead electrical engineering activities for hydrogen power systems, working from concept to validation in a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes first-principles problem solving, development of LV/MV/HV power systems, and collaboration with mechanical and controls engineers to deliver integrated, zero-emission solutions. relocation support available.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical engineering knowledge; ability to solve complex problems from first principles.
• Around 10 years’ experience in electrical engineering, R&D or advanced product development.
• Experience designing or developing LV, MV or HV electrical power systems.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead technical development activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering activities across research and development projects.
• Develop innovative electrical engineering solutions using first-principles engineering.
• Design, analyse and validate electrical power systems.
• Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Collaborate with mechanical and controls engineers to deliver integrated solutions.
• Support development of LV, MV and HV electrical systems.
• Prepare and present technical proposals and engineering concepts.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and directives.
• Support prototype development, testing and product validation.
