Job summary

Everpool Recruitment is seeking a WCA Functional Assessor in Southampton for a hybrid, Monday–Friday role. You will conduct telephone, video and in-person assessments to determine functional impact and support clinical decision making.

The role requires registered professionals (RN/Physiotherapist/OTC) with active registration and at least 12 months post-registration experience. Training is provided, with a focus on evidence-based reporting and independent decision making.

Qualifications

• Registered healthcare professional (RN/physio/OT) with active registration.
• Minimum 12 months post-registration clinical experience.
• Strong clinical assessment and reasoning skills.
• Confident in communication and report writing.
• Good IT and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and make evidence-based decisions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telephone, video and face-to-face assessments.
• Take detailed clinical histories using structured questioning.
• Explore the impact of physical, mental and cognitive conditions.
• Assess functional ability and work-related limitations.
• Review medical evidence and supporting information.
• Apply clinical reasoning and professional judgement.
• Produce clear, accurate and evidence-based reports.
• Manage your own caseload while meeting quality standards and deadlines.
