Job summary

Kier Group in the UK is seeking a Temporary Works Design Engineer to join our Kier Design team, based in various locations. Kier Design is a top-tier contractor with a large design consultancy and access to a substantial project pipeline, offering exposure to complex construction and infrastructure schemes from concept through delivery.

You will lead temporary works design and related activities, support tendering, and manage project delivery while building strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Working towards or have completed IEng Initial Professional Development with a relevant professional institution (e.g. ICE) with relevant experience
• Holding a Level 6 or Level 7 qualification with relevant experience in engineering
• Someone with demonstrable experience in construction engineering services
• Able to lead project delivery and manage workloads effectively
• In possession of a full driving licence

Responsibilities

• Leading temporary works design and checking, integrated with permanent works design as applicable
• Supporting tender and bid winning activities including outline design schemes and feasibility studies
• Managing project delivery, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies
• Developing positive relationships with clients and design teams, acting as lead representative at meetings
• Overseeing the production of design deliverables including calculations, drawings, reports and risk assessments
