Job summary

d3t ltd. is seeking aTechnical UI Designer for a 12-month contract, based at our UK studios in Daresbury or Newcastle. The role is hybrid, with three studio days per week (Wed, Thu, and a third day of your choice). The team works on high-end game UI across platforms, blending technical art and user experience.

You will collaborate across disciplines to design and implement robust UI, menus, HUDs, and animations, ensuring scalable, polished experiences for AAA titles in development.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional game UI development with game engines.
• Implemented UI screens, widgets, logic, and data flows with other disciplines.
• Experience with rapid prototyping to test concepts from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Structure, plan, estimate, and implement UI features aligned with game goals and accessibility.
• Collaborate with engineers, scripters, UX designers, and UI artists on UI layouts, menus, animations.
• Improve implementations based on feedback, design requirements, and art direction.
• Ensure interfaces scale across platform resolutions and perform without frame drops.
• Report to technical directors and project managers.
• Demonstrate attention to detail in typography and visuals.
