Job summary

Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service is seeking a Systems and Data Analyst to join the Data and Analytics team. The role focuses on maintaining and developing management information systems within good governance, ensuring data accuracy and timely reporting to support service decisions.

You will analyse complex data, support data migration projects, and uphold data protection standards while working with MS Office and related tools.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with and manipulating datasets and databases.
• Ability to analyse and evaluate complex data.
• Technical working knowledge of data management.
• Experience with data protection and confidentiality procedures.
• Proficient in MS Office or equivalent to produce documents and reports.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop management information systems within the principles of good governance.
• Ensure that data and associated user systems are accurate, timely and consistent to support sound decision-making, undertaking the role of Information Asset Owner under the HMG Security Policy Framework.
• Analyse and evaluate complex data to provide reports and advice to managers at all levels to improve Service performance.
• Ensure that systems and data are migrated in a well-structured and managed way.
