Job summary

Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service is seeking a Systems and Data Analyst in the Data and Analytics department. The role focuses on maintaining and developing management information systems, ensuring data accuracy and supporting sound decision-making.

37 hours per week, permanent appointment, with flexible working and occasional on-site duties. The successful candidate will analyse complex data, act as Information Asset Owner under policy framework, and contribute to service performance

Qualifications

• Experience working with datasets and databases.
• Experience analysing complex data.
• Technical working knowledge of data management.
• Experience with data protection and confidentiality procedures.
• Proficient user of MS Office to produce documents and reports.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop management information systems within the principles of good governance.
• Ensure that data and associated user systems are accurate, timely and consistent to support sound decision-making, undertaking the role of Information Asset Owner under the HMG Security Policy Framework
• Analyse and evaluate complex data to provide reports and advice to managers at all levels to improve Service performance
• Ensure that systems and data are migrated in a well-structured and managed way
