Job summary

The University of Sheffield is seeking an Education Manager to lead and coordinate education processes across taught programmes, ensuring regulatory compliance and academic excellence. You will work with the School Director of Education and School Manager to enhance curriculum across the portfolio and allocate responsibilities to staff in a fair, joined-up approach for students and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Educated to A Level with Maths and English GCSE.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High IT literacy with Excel and Google apps.
• Experience of curriculum management and governance procedures.
• Experienced line manager who can support colleagues to reach potential.
• Understanding of Higher Education environment including QA responsibilities.
• Able to work autonomously with sound decision-making and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of Education strategy with Education Director and NHS partners.
• Oversee MBChB and PA Education Professional Service function with staff line management.
• Ensure compliance with OfS, freedom of speech, accreditation processes as relevant.
• Inform evidence-based decisions on programme design, approval and delivery.
• Oversee curriculum administration including programme and module development, amendments and closures.
• Support development and implementation of curriculum priorities across portfolio.
