Job summary

Cyngor Sir Ceredigion County Council is recruiting two Commissioning Officers to join our team in Aberystwyth. One post is permanent, the other temporary to cover maternity leave; both are 37 hours per week.

You will provide commissioning and brokerage advice for age-related social care services, working with partners to ensure value for money and high-quality, person-centred outcomes, with potential for secondment and support to return to your substantive post.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Social Care Sector.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Negotiation skills.
• Ability to communicate in a multi-agency context.

Responsibilities

• Provide commissioning and brokerage advice to arrange and commission through age social care services in a timely, cost-effective manner, ensuring assessed needs are met.
• Contribute to commissioning and contract management of social care services, working with partners to ensure high-quality, person-centred services that achieve value for money.
