Job summary

Dumfries and Galloway Council is seeking a motivated Commissioning Officer on a permanent basis. The role supports monitoring, commissioning and continuous improvement of adult social care services across the region, with hybrid working from home and monthly in-person meetings at Mountainhall Treatment Centre in Dumfries.

The post requires a degree in a relevant discipline, driving licence, and strong communication, organisational and analytical skills to build relationships with stakeholders

Qualifications

• Degree-level education in a relevant discipline.
• Experience in social care or a related field.
• Strong communication, organisational and analytical skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships and work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Must have a driving license.

• Monitor, commission and contribute to continuous improvement of adult social care services.
• Support contract management and ensure best value against specifications.
