Job summary

The Open University seeks a Lecturer in Technology Enhanced Learning - Simulation (Nursing) to develop and deliver technology-enhanced learning and simulation within the School of Health, Wellbeing & Social Care. You will work with OU resources including XR Studios and Anatomage to create engaging, evidence-informed learning experiences.

Qualifications

  • The candidate holds a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in nursing, health, social care or education.
  • Current and active registration with a health or social care regulator is required.
  • A postgraduate teaching qualification and/or membership of Advance HE is desirable.
  • Experience designing, delivering or evaluating technology-based learning or simulation in health and social care education.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement technology-enhanced learning and simulation using OU resources.
  • Design digital simulation experiences that support professional learning and practice development.
  • Ensure activities meet professional and regulatory requirements for practice learning.
  • Apply educational theory to curriculum and assessment design.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop learning assets.
