Job summary

Marrons, a growing planning consultancy in Manchester, is looking for a Planner/Senior Planner to join our multi-disciplinary team. You will help deliver strategic planning, planning applications and land promotions for residential development across the North West.

You will collaborate with colleagues across development economics, design, transport, landscape and heritage, build client relationships, and help shape our regional strategy while enjoying hybrid working and a range of benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Planning role (ideally consultancy, development industry or local government).
• A relevant Planning qualification.
• Membership of RTPI (or working towards membership).
• Solid understanding of the planning process and systems.
• Excellent writing skills with a strong eye for detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly approachable manner.
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage time efficiently.
• Drive, commitment, enthusiasm and a team player approach.

Responsibilities

• Advising on development potential of land and buildings.
• Assisting with preparing planning applications and appeals.
• Providing policy advice and researching representations to plan consultations and examinations.
• Assisting in identifying land opportunities.
• Working with clients and other consultants to deliver development.
