Job summary

Canada Life is seeking a Reporting Data Analyst to join the Canada Operations & Business Enablement, Information Management team. You will develop, implement, and maintain analytics solutions ranging from descriptive to predictive to support decision making and performance monitoring.

You will translate business requirements into data projects, model and analyze data, and present insights to senior leaders.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) preferred.
• Experience with SQL, Python, SQL Server, Azure/Databricks, and Power BI dashboards.
• Ability to write efficient SQL and Python queries to extract, integrate, and transform data from multiple sources.
• Strong knowledge of Power BI Data Modelling, Power Query, and DAX.
• Experience with raw data and large datasets; statistical modelling knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into data requirements and build analyses to inform leadership.
• Create, implement, and maintain data models, reports, and dashboards.
• Work with large, inconsistent datasets and clean/transform data for analytics.
• Communicate insights clearly and concisely to business leaders.
• Define, monitor, and track KPIs aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate with business partners to enable data-driven decisions.
• Support analytics projects through the full lifecycle.
• Present insights and recommendations visually and accessibly.
