National Gas Transmission PLC is seeking an Associate Buyer to support regional procurement and contract management. You will help secure goods and services to keep projects and operations moving, working within our regional Supply Chain team in a hybrid role based near Peterborough.

• This role requires experience supporting sourcing, procurement, or contract management activities.
• Ability to analyse data and turn findings into clear recommendations.
• Commercial awareness and understanding of value-for-money principles.
• Experience working with suppliers, stakeholders, or customers to achieve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Support sourcing projects across a range of regional spend categories.
• Deliver end-to-end tender processes from supplier identification through contract award.
• Monitor supplier performance, contract commitments, and renewal requirements.
• Prepare and issue tender documentation and sourcing packs.
• Build positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Produce reports and recommendations to support commercial decision-making.
