Job summary

Sustainable Talent LTD is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to support two major gas infrastructure projects within the National Gas programme. You will oversee commercial management, NEC contract administration and tender activity, working with an established team to drive successful delivery.

The role covers projects around East Peterborough and Bacton, with options for Warrington office travel and site visits. A 12-month contract paying around £600 per day is on offer.

We’re looking for an experienced Contract Manager to support two major gas infrastructure projects within the National Gas programme, covering a National Gas terminal and an AGI project.

Joining an established team, you’ll take responsibility for the commercial management of the projects, ensuring contracts are effectively managed and delivered, while also supporting tendering activity for upcoming works.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of gas infrastructure projects.
• Oversee NEC contracts, ensuring contractual obligations, change control and commercial risks are managed effectively.
• Support project teams with contract administration, commercial reporting and stakeholder management.
• Assist with tendering and securing future project opportunities.
• Work closely with the existing team to support successful project delivery.

Experience Required

• Strong experience in gas infrastructure and NEC contracts.
• Previous experience working with National Gas and/or Cadent.
• Experience across AGI (Above Ground Installation) and/or pipeline projects.
• Commercially astute, with a strong understanding of contractual and commercial risk.
• Confident working within an established project team and supporting future tender opportunities.

Location & Contract

The projects are based around East Peterborough and Bacton, with the option to work from the Warrington office and travel to site as required. Candidates based locally to either project will also be considered.

This is a 12-month contract offering around £600 per day, ideal for a commercially focused Contract Manager with a strong gas and NEC background looking for a long-term opportunity within the National Gas programme.
