Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a qualified MEP CAD Designer to join our expanding design team. You will produce 3D and 2D MEP designs for High Speed-2 Stations and various railway projects using Bentley MicroStation and OpenBuildings.

You will collaborate across disciplines, maintain data exchanges in a Common Data Environment, and mentor junior staff while ensuring designs meet industry standards and project requirements. A relevant HNC/HND or equivalent rail design experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of BIM and data exchange in a Common Data Environment
• Experience with CAD/BIM coordination and clash avoidance
• Ability to mentor and upskill junior CAD staff

Responsibilities

• Model 3D MEP services using Bentley MicroStation and OpenBuildings to produce 3D models and 2D drawings
• Carry out CAD modelling through feasibility to detailed design to industry standards
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure clash-free designs and proper access/maintenance
• Support data exchange across a Common Data Environment (CDE) with project teams
• Mentor and upskill technical staff on CAD/BIM tasks
