Job summary

Kier Group in Falmer, East Sussex, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our Southern Water framework. You will help deliver cost-effective solutions, control costs, and maintain financial health across projects within the seven-year Strategic Development Partnership with Southern Water.

The role requires experience with NEC contracts, strong IT skills (Excel, Oracle, Causeway), good communication, and a full driving licence.

Qualifications

Experience with NEC contracts and Target Costs within construction, water or civils industries.
Excellent IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel, and familiarity with Oracle and Causeway accounting systems.
Strong communication skills with client-facing confidence.
Ability to interpret financial data, prepare cash flow forecasts, and demonstrate numeracy.
Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

Measuring works and preparing monthly and final payment applications, including cost forecasting and reporting.
Monitoring and reporting on project costs and value, ensuring contractual compliance.
Supporting procurement strategy, value maximisation techniques, and change control procedures.
Assessing and processing sub-contract payments while managing commercial risks and notices.
Liaising with subcontractors and clients on financial updates.
