Job summary

Bennett & Game are representing a growing construction consultancy seeking a Quantity Surveyor for their Northern team. The role focuses on pre and post-contract QS services across residential, healthcare and commercial sectors.

Hybrid working is offered (typically 1 day per week from home). The post includes career progression, a pension scheme and 25 days holiday in a full-time, permanent position.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a construction environment.
• Main contractor or contractor-side experience would be highly advantageous.
• Good understanding of pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying.
• Experience with procurement, valuations and cost reporting.
• Able to manage workloads effectively and work independently when required.
• Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre and post-contract Quantity Surveying services across a varied project portfolio.
• Assist with cost planning, estimating, tender documentation and Bills of Quantities.
• Support procurement processes and the management of subcontract packages.
• Prepare valuations, variations, cost reports and final account information.
• Monitor project costs and assist with commercial reporting and change management.
• Attend client, site and project meetings as required.
• Work closely with Senior Quantity Surveyors while developing responsibility for your own projects.
