Job summary

South West London & St George's Mental Health NHS Trust seeks a Psychology Wellbeing Practitioner to join the Talking Therapies service in a hybrid role based in Surbiton. The post involves delivering brief evidence-based step 2 interventions to people with mild to moderate mental health problems, by telephone, face-to-face, online and in groups, contributing to a responsive stepped-care service.

Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of working with people with mental health problems.
Commitment to clinical excellence; able to work confidently, flexibly and autonomously.
Provide a range of brief evidence-based step 2 interventions.
Interventions may be delivered by telephone, face-to-face, online and within group settings.

Responsibilities

Provide a range of brief evidence-based step 2 interventions for people with mild to moderate mental health problems.
Interventions delivered over the telephone, face-to-face, online and within group settings.
Assess and support referrals, identifying suitability and stepping up or back as needed.
Educate and involve family members and others in treatment as necessary.
