Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Project Planner in Plymouth, Devonport Dockyard, offering hybrid working and a 35-hour week. You will support the PMO across a portfolio of infrastructure projects, coordinating schedules, reporting performance, and ensuring alignment with costs.

The role demands collaboration with engineers, construction, and commercial teams, with flexibility for remote work where feasible. The position requires knowledge of planning principles, Primavera P6 experience, and PMO exposure,

Qualifications

• Knowledge of project planning and scheduling principles.
• Experience maintaining and monitoring project schedules and plans.
• Experience coordinating activities across project teams.
• Understanding cost, risk, estimating and change management impacts on schedules.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Supporting Project and Programme Managers with project scheduling and planning activities.
• Preparing and delivering schedule-related reports, data and project performance information.
• Maintaining project schedules and ensuring alignment between programme plans and project costs.
• Assisting with critical path analysis, schedule variance reporting and annual spend forecasting.
• Collaborating with engineering, construction, commercial and supply chain teams to support project delivery.
