Job summary

The Institution of Engineering and Technology seeks an experienced Project Manager to drive transformation across business and technology-enabled change. You will lead projects from planning through to implementation, manage budgets and risks, and collaborate with sponsors and stakeholders to realise benefits.

This role offers hybrid working in Stevenage, with a 2-year fixed-term contract and a salary up to £51,500.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing projects through the full lifecycle.
• Experience delivering business change and/or technology-enabled change projects.
• Strong planning, organisation and project control skills.
• Experience managing budgets, forecasts and project performance.
• Ability to identify and manage project risks, issues and dependencies.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information clearly to a wide range of audiences.
• Understanding of change management principles and approaches.
• Ability to coach, support and coordinate project teams.
• Experience working across multiple projects and competing priorities.
• Experience within a membership organisation, charity, not-for-profit or volunteer-led environment would be beneficial.
• Relevant project management qualifications or certifications would be advantageous, but are not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from initiation through to implementation and closure.
• Develop and maintain project plans, documentation, governance and controls.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, quality measures and deliverables.
• Identify and manage risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies.
• Coordinate stakeholders, project teams, suppliers and subject matter experts.
• Produce clear reporting, updates and recommendations for sponsors and governance groups.
• Support the definition, tracking and realisation of project benefits.
• Plan and coordinate communications, engagement and change activities.
• Support the transition of project deliverables into business-as-usual operations.
• Build strong relationships across the IET, encouraging collaboration, ownership and accountability.
• Lead and motivate project teams to achieve successful outcomes.
