Job summary

Railpen in London with hybrid working options is seeking a Project Manager (Level 1) to support change initiatives across our Change & Transformation portfolio, ensuring governance and controlled progression.

Working with experienced Project Managers and colleagues across business and technology, you'll support planning, governance, reporting, risk & issue management and stakeholder coordination, with opportunities to lead defined workstreams or smaller projects under oversight.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication with ability to prepare updates and governance materials.
• Experience maintaining project plans, milestones, actions, RAID logs and supporting documentation.
• Ability to coordinate meetings, workshops, stakeholder activities and follow-up actions.
• Comfortable escalating risks, issues and delivery concerns early.
• Willingness to learn and develop Project Management knowledge and tools.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, governance, reporting and project controls across projects and smaller change initiatives.
• Produce and maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, RAID logs, status reports, actions and governance materials.
• Coordinate stakeholder input, meetings, workshops and follow-up actions to support effective delivery and decision-making.
• Track milestones, dependencies and progress; take ownership of actions and see them through to completion.
• Identify and monitor risks, issues, assumptions and delivery concerns; escalate appropriately.
• Coordinate delivery activities across business, technology and third‑party stakeholders to support project objectives.
• Lead defined workstreams or lower-complexity projects within scope and oversight.
• Develop Project Management capability through coaching, feedback and hands-on experience.
