Job summary

South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue is looking for a Project Officer to support our Governance, Projects and Collaboration function. Two vacancies exist: a permanent full-time role and a fixed-term part-time contract until March 2027, based at Eyre Street, Sheffield.

The team operates with an Agile Working rota, mixing office and home working. You will work to manage internal and external projects, guide colleagues in project methodology, and support governance processes to deliver service

Qualifications

• Experience of project lifecycle and governance processes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong administrative and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Support management of internal and external projects.
• Guide project managers on methodology, reporting, and benefits realisation.
• Coordinate workshops and project group meetings across the organisation.
• Provide administration support to boards, committees and groups.
