Job summary

Balfour Beatty seeks an experienced Project Engineer (Cabling) to join the Power Transmission & Distribution team on the BTNO Project in Assington, Suffolk. You will assist planning, design, delivery, RAMS, and handover of HV cabling works with the Project Manager and team.

Ideal candidates will have power/utilities infrastructure experience, strong safety discipline, and MS Office 365 proficiency. CSCS and SMSTS are preferred; APM qualifications are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Engineering or construction qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience delivering cabling, civils or electrical infrastructure projects.
• Experience in power/utilities/infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of safe systems of work and RAMS processes.
• CSCS and SMSTS preferred; IT literacy including MS Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, design, delivery, monitoring and handover of cabling works.
• Coordinate site activities and ensure work is delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
• Produce and review RAMS and safety documentation.
• Review technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Monitor progress, quality and programme performance; report to stakeholders.
• Assist with procurement of plant, materials and subcontract services.
