National Grid is hiring a Project Development Engineer to lead the development and pre-construction delivery of complex network investment and customer connection projects. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to validate requirements, assess costs, and drive options through to approval.

You will manage risks, budgets and governance, while ensuring compliance with CDM, SHESQ, and RIIO frameworks, and supporting delivery readiness across multiple sites in the UK.

Formación

• Degree-qualified in Engineering or equivalent
• ,
• Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and health and safety practices

Responsabilidades

• Lead development and pre-construction delivery of complex network investment and customer connection projects
• Establish investment drivers and validate requirements with stakeholders
• Develop and cost investment options with cost–benefit analysis
• Engage with customers and stakeholders to shape solutions
• Prepare regulatory submissions and support governance processes
• Lead multi-disciplinary scheme teams and manage risks and budgets
• Ensure designs comply with regulations and company standards
• Conduct FEED and site assessments to support delivery readiness
• Coordinate with delivery, land, consents and operations teams to enable execution
• Monitor performance and capture lessons learned for continuous improvement
