Zusammenfassung

National Grid is seeking a Development Engineer to join the Asset Operations team. You will drive early development, option selection, and pre-construction activities across multiple locations with travel.

A 12-month fixed-term contract includes a competitive salary, a £4,500 market supplement, and a company car, with a hybrid working pattern. Key responsibilities include coordinating project teams, managing investment portfolios through pre-construction, and ensuring compliance with CDM

Qualifikationen

Degree in engineering or equivalent
Knowledge of contract management and financial forecasting
Understanding of CDM Regulations and safety/environmental regs
Recognised project management qualification (APM/PRINCE2) and project development experience

Aufgaben

Lead early development phases from concept to sanction, tendering and contract award.
Coordinate pre-construction activity with internal/external stakeholders.
Oversee option development to balance cost, risk, and safety while aligning with National Grid processes.
Provide leadership as Client's Delegated Representative and potential Principal Designer duties under CDM.
Maintain high-quality core data for pre-construction investments and document lessons learnt.
