Job summary

National Grid in the UK is seeking a Project Development Engineer to lead pre-construction investment and customer connection projects. You will drive option studies, costed proposals and regulatory submissions to secure funding and align with Network Development plans.

You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, engage stakeholders, ensure safety standards, and deliver value through robust business cases, benefits analysis and strong governance throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and health, safety and environmental policy.
• Demonstrable project management and governance experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and pre-construction delivery of complex network investments and customer connections.
• Develop investment options with cost-benefit analyses and robust proposals.
• Prepare regulatory submissions and secure investment approvals and funding.
• Lead multi-disciplinary scheme teams and manage risks, budgets and schedules.
• Engage customers and stakeholders to align solutions with objectives.
